Recently two new websites have popped up representing the Tega Cay area. Both are run by the same gentleman, which a goal of providing space for Tega Cay residents to talk about important issues related to their town.

There used to be a blog called Tega Cay Underground which appears to have been replaced with “Tega Cay Voice,” and the other is “Tega Cay Talk.”

If you live in Tega Cay and have an interest in the politics, management and community, then definitely check out those websites (in addition to ScoopMill, of course! *lol*).

We received a sweet email last night and wanted to share it with you today. It was from Diana Weimer, the owner of Diana’s Blinds and Designs, Inc. in Fort Mill. On February 12 the store hosted a design seminar entitled “Ten Steps to the Perfect Room” by Sally Morse. All proceeds earned from the seminar where then donated to Party in Pink, a local breast cancer charity which was started by several Tega Cay women. The charity seeks to assist un- or under-insured women in York County to get a mammogram and/or cancer treatment.

Over 60 women attended the seminar and together they raised over $2,000 for Party in Pink. Diana emailed us, asking us to post her thanks to those ladies who donated and also to those who gave gifts. So with that, THANK YOU!

It sounds like it was a very fun evening of learning and fun while also raising money for a great cause. Thanks, Diana and we look forward to letting people know about your next event!

Is your husband long-overdue for a haircut? I know mine is. So send him out on Saturday to get a trim AND help a charity at the same time!

This Saturday, February 21, the Sport Clips in Tega Cay (at the Stonecrest shopping center on SC 160) will be holding a cut-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sports Clips is committed to donating $2 from every single haircut they finish between those hours, with plans to donate the money towards the American Cancer Society Relay for Life that will be held this summer in June.

For more information, call 803-329-7974, but plan on sending anyone and everyone over for a quick cut that day – not only will you look better, but you’ll feel good, too.
