The festival in Rock Hill ends today and it is packed with a lot of great activities. There is BBQ to be had, a kids carnival to enjoy, a coin show, a frog float, a truck display, and even a skydiving exhibition!

And it’s all capped off tonight at 9 p.m. by fireworks at Winthrop Lake and the Red and White Charity Ball at Industrial Shoe Shop (tickets should be bought in advance).

The weather is sure to be perfect for the entire day, so be sure to make your way to Rock Hill today to enjoy the spectacular finale to this wonderful annual festival!

And while you are down there, make sure to stop by the Friends of the York County Library book sale that ends today. That runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Today is Earth Day and there are events taking place even now as I type at Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill. It goes until 2 p.m. today and features hundreds of volunteers helping to organize activities such as wildlife exhibits, wagon rides, Catawba drumming and dancing, alternative energy vehicle exhibits, milking cows, juried student art competition, and much more!

If you haven’t already headed out for the day, then be sure to stop by and check it out before it ends at 2 p.m. And after that you can head down to Rock Hill for more of the Come See Me festival!

Then tonight at 6 p.m. you can check out BacInTyme Cafe for a live performance by Abou Sylla.

• Musical Mania 6-8pm (a kids event in which they learn about musical instruments)

We’re only a few days away from the annual “Come See Me” celebration in Rock Hill. It begins this Thursday with such events as the Big South Tennis Championships, a Baseball Invitational, the Cruise In and Pre-Movie Sock Hop, a Tuba Choir Concert and a special outdoor screening of the movie “American Graffiti.”

The annual event goes through Saturday, April 25, culminating with a grand fireworks display. It is sure to provide plenty of fun and entertainment for all ages. Be sure to check the schedule of events and make your way to downtown Rock Hill. You won’t regret it!
