Two Tega Cay Sites To Recommend

Recently two new websites have popped up representing the Tega Cay area. Both are run by the same gentleman, which a goal of providing space for Tega Cay residents to talk about important issues related to their town.
There used to be a blog called Tega Cay Underground which appears to have been replaced with [...]

New Garden Center to Open in Fort Mill

One of my goals for 2010 is to fix up my front and back yards. When we moved into our house the lawn and garden areas were lovely – the former owners being complete at ease working in the soil and making things grow. Sadly, I don’t have that skill – but it doesn’t keep me from trying from time to time.

At the end of the summer I let my children pick out various flower seeds they wanted to attempted to grow in our garden, and seeing as we’re deep into winter this week, this seems like the perfect time to think about getting things ready.

Fortunately, this spring a new garden center is opening in Fort Mill. Sugar Creek Garden Center will be located along Rte 160 heading towards the North Carolina border. This will be a locally owned business, it’s owners being Tega Cay residents. I can’t wait for them to open – I love looking at fresh flowers and dreaming that I can turn my thumb into a green one.

How The New Site Works…

I just wanted to make a quick announcement as to how the new site will work! If you cursor down to the bottom of this front page, you’ll see the latest blog post for each and every category on this website. As you can see, I just published a new post in the Food News category – it lists the date so you can see when the category was last updated.

Up top you’ll find various featured articles from a few topics – for instance, right now the two on the right feature two events that took place in December (but those will change as new content continues to be posted).

Our secondary pages are all still available (such as our calendar of events, church listings, and restaurant listings, to name a few).

Restaurant Week is Back!

It’s January 2010, and that means Restaurant Week is back in Charlotte. Once again, Fort Mill is being represented by Passion8 Bistro over in the Regent Park area.
Don’t know about Restaurant Week? According to the Charlotte Feast website, “From Friday, January 22, through Sunday, January 31, each participating upscale restaurant will [...]

I know posting has been sparse the past few weeks – but I think we can all agree that life is always busier than normal during the holidays!
I look forward to what the next 12 months has [...]
