ScoopMill.com started as an off-handed comment when Jane and her family moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina. She felt that Fort Mill and the surrounding area was in need of a website that would report on local happenings and allow the residents and visitors to provide commentary. The idea languished for a couple years, until Jane finally decided to move forward with what has now become ScoopMill.com – a blog/website dedicated to providing locals, newcomers and visitors with all the information they might need about Fort Mill, South Carolina and the surrounding areas. ScoopMill’s Vision

ScoopMill.com hopes to become the online spot for residents and visitors alike to provide commentary on the goings-on in Fort Mill and the surrounding area. The primary focus during the first phase of the site will be on Fort Mill, Indian Land and Tega Cay. However, we have a goal to eventually include Clover, York, Rock Hill and Steele Creek in our fold – but that’s for later phases as the site grows. We thank you for your patience as we continue to build the site to become the “water cooler for York County.”

Scoop Mill seeks to give its readers a mix of original commentary and opinion, as well as aggregrated news, all with ScoopMill’s unique voice, opinion and perspective. You, the ScoopMill reader, provide another layer of content and opinion by actively commenting on each story as well as providing tips, photos, suggestions, as well as (yikes!) criticisms, which helps to make the site even more well-rounded. ScoopMill is *not* an official blog for Fort Mill, Tega Cay or India Land.
