Operation Medicine Drop

I remember reading a statistic not too long ago that the most popular drugs for kids to try are prescriptions they can find in their own parents’ medicine cabinet at home.

Tomorrow, Keystone Substance Abuse Services of York County is offering parents and grandparents the opportunity to get rid of old bottles of medication before the children in their homes can find them. Operation Medicine Drop, a day of amnesty to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired medications in the home, has been scheduled for tomorrow, December 12 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This initiative will be held in partnership with several law enforcement and substance abuse prevention organizations (including Keystone. The local Fort Mill drop off is at the Bi-Lo (1329 W. Highway 160) in Fort Mill. For more information you are welcome to call Keystone at (803) 324-1800.
