Lots To Do This Weekend
By Jane | October 2nd, 2009 | Category: Local Events | 2 commentsIt’s officially Fall, and so begins the neighborhood yard sales (I thought they started last weekend, but apparently not). This weekend Knightsbridge, Waterstone and Sutton Place are all hosting neighborhood yard sales on Saturday, October 3. It’s possible there are more, but those are the ones I know about right now. Please comment if you know of others!
Also, I normally don’t post about events in Rock Hill since this website is mostly about Fort Mill, Tega Cay and Indian Land, but thought this one was worth mentioning. Also on Saturday, October 3, there will be a Women in Business Showcase with locally owned vendors showing off their wares. Also, author Janet W. Christy is scheduled to speak during the lunch hour. See our Calendar of Events for more info.
Grapevine in Baxter Village is once again holding an outstanding event – this one will include live music and features a huge mega-wine tasting. They are calling it the “Fall Fiasco Party,” and it goes from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. (the music goes ’til midnight).
Lastly, the Philadelphia United Methodist Church (1691 Hwy 160 in Fort Mill) is hosting a children’s fall festival from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday. The event will have kids activities, a BBQ chicken lunch, and a consignment sale.
Lots to do! Lots to do! I love this time of year!
