Gov. Sanford – What’s Up?
By Jane | June 24th, 2009 | Category: Local Politics | 4 commentsArgentina? Not Appalachia? Out of touch with everyone – including his own sons on Father’s Day? WHAT is going on with Governor Sanford? Who goes to Argentina for 4 days (which is about how long he had there when you consider he’d need two days for travel)? Who goes anywhere without even telling his FAMILY what he’s doing?
What do you think is going on with our governor?
Update at 3:34 p.m.: I haven’t been online for a couple hours and thanks to DixieHoosier (see comments), we now know exactly why he went to Argentina. That’s tragic – I feel for the wife, who has to endure the humiliation (I liken this to the humiliation that former NJ Gov. Greevey’s wife had to stand through during his “I am a gay American” speech a few years ago, as well as NY’s Elliot Spitzer’s wife during his speech about visiting prostitutes). He just better not have spent SC money for his little rendevous.
It seems that being a decent, faithful-to-your-spouse politician is a rarity. Sound off in the comments.

Apparently this is what’s up: http://www.heraldonline.com/109/story/1432097.html
This guy is a degenerate jerk.
Thanks for the link, DixieHoosier! Have updated my post.
What is it with politicians getting their hands caught in the cookie jar? These people are WONDERFUL examples for our youth (note the sarcasm). I, too, feel very sorry for his wife… and his kids. (Nice goin’ DAD!). Now, I know there’s two sides to every story, but when one takes such a public role in society, they need to just DEAL, pull up their boot straps and take the high road. Isn’t that the image they thrust upon us when they’re looking to get into office anyway – how they are so “family oriented”, blah-blah-blah? What a joke.
I continue to be amazed at people that can’t keep it in their pants (and/or)dresses, willing to risk everything in doing so.
