More Local Businesses Closing or Changing
By Jane | March 6th, 2009 | Category: Food News | 6 commentsSupper Sensations, based on Market Street in Baxter, will be shuttering its doors at the end of March. After two years of business, the economy finally took its toll on this great food prep service. This week is their final week of assembly and pickup sessions. Next week they will be offering their Lite and Lean Menu for pickup only. From March 18 to the end of the month they will operate on a reduced store hours schedule (check the website for hours) and will have Cash and Carry available while supplies last.
In other food news, Corrigan’s Cafe in downtown Fort Mill is preparing to shut down temporarily. According to the Fort Mill Times, there is a new owner who plans on making minor changes to the menu and reopening to offer dinner service in addition to breakfast and lunch. The updated restaurant hopes to launch before the end of March.

I was disappointed to hear about Corrigan’s, because Dan is such a great guy. But I’m thrilled that it won’t be gone completely- just under new management. I love having so many great businesses in the downtown area!
Jenny, I just went to Corrigan’s for the first time this week, and will definitely go back after it reopens to see what changes are made! At that point I’ll review the new place here so keep an eye out for that.
I am sad to hear about Supper Sensations. The owner was a great sponsor of local schools and community events and was a great business neighbor to have in Baxter.
I never used Supper Sensations myself, but I know a lot of folks that did and had nothing but nice things to say about them! It’s a shame to see another Baxter business shut down.
I brought home a pizza from Vinny’s (formerly Corrigan’s) and I urge ya’ll to give it a try. I did get a preview taste a week or so ago when he was experimenting with it and I’d say it’s a success. I’m amazed how good it is. I think he’s still open if you can’t wait for tomorrow!
Thanks for the head’s up, Michael! I drove by there just after it opened and didn’t have time to stop in. Life got in the way and I haven’t been over there. I’ll try to go on Monday for some lunch and check it out!
